A few weeks ago, NYSEF XC Winter High School Camp wrapped up in Lake Placid.  This years version of the high school camp went from December 26-30, 2014 and saw many of the states finest high school skiers in attendance.

Camp highlights included: technique stations, distance skis with many kilometers, specific strength workout, ski-orienteering, sprint elimination heats, Learn to Wax Clinic, smores, K90 ski jumping competition, fireworks and a trip to Lake Placid village. Camp was fast paced and all that skiing will help the winter racing. Nordic Skiing is a hard sport so you have to work hard!

NYSEF wants to thank the Lake Placid Training Center and the Olympic Regional Development Authority (Mt. Van Hoevenberg) for hosting us during camp. Thanks to High Peaks Cyclery for the smores and welcome gathering. Thanks to the camp t-shirt sponsors: NYSEF, Rossignol, NYSSRA Nordic, HFL Nordic and Hudson United Race Team.

Many thanks to Coaches Jason, Steve, Nick, Bernie, Mike, Kyle, Maile, Sophie and Bill for donating their time to help you reach your goals this winter!

Some great camp takeaways include:
